Stick with us and see how that is done. But we must appreciate that every writer has to start somewhere. There are many writing FREE content online as we speak, and that is where they have chosen to start.

If enough of us writers got together (by writers I mean people who have written and gotten paid something, yes, even $2) then together we can understand this online content game and together we can be a powerful enough voice to change things. The key word here is "together."

Thank you so much for your comments. Please keep reading and commenting.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02403951793855060552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13307883.post-1117582891642145352005-05-31T16:41:00.000-07:002005-05-31T16:41:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Aislinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05555147175752643771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13307883.post-1117576209501610822005-05-31T14:50:00.000-07:002005-05-31T14:50:00.000-07:00I take exception to one of your comments. I'm here to tell you otherwise.

Indeed it does matter what a writer gets paid. The problem is, too many writers are accepting a pittance from content peddlers and those looking to make a buck from a few keywords. As long as there are those willing to accept pennies for their hard earned work, writers, especially content writers, will never be paid a decent wage.

I'd like to see you tell a teacher, a librarian, or a doctor it doesn't matter what they get paid. Why is writing the only profession where those doing all the work are supposed to be happy to get paid nothing, or next to nothing simply for the exposure? $2.50 cents for an hours worth of work is less than minimum wage. Tell me again why I should be happy with this?

You're doing writers a grave disservice by telling them to settle for less than they're worth. If you really, truly cared for writers, you'd be encouraging them to speak out for what they deserve.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14555830980286438776noreply@blogger.com
